Engineering reports are normally prepared with Microsoft Word because it works fairly well and virtually everyone has it. DeepSoft, Inc. has far more powerful tools available if desired. Ventura Publisher is a full blown desktop publishing package that can produce very precise and color calibrated documents of almost any size and complexity from business cards to 300 page technical manuals to large posters.

Corel Ventura Publisher, Corel Draw, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Acrobat, and all of the previously mentioned MCAE software tools can drive the HP DesignJet 800PS Postscript printer which supports paper 42" wide by 150' rolls at 2400 dpi and 16.7 million colors. The DesignJet 800 printer supports CAD drawings, 3D solid model renderings, FEA models and results, full size topographic map production, large image photographic output, and large format graphic arts posters which can contain any or all of these elements. Two film scanners provide 5400 dpi and 3600 dpi capture of 35mm film and slides which create large format, high resolution image files. ColorVision's Spyder2 colorimeter and Spyder2PRO software are used for precise PANTONE ICC color correction profiles for CRT monitor color calibration. ColorSavvy's ColorMouse is used to create custom ICC color profiles for specific papers on the HP DesignJet 800 printer.
